Entering this card with Create with Connie and Mary in their color challenge. I did not have all of the correct colors but had ones that are similar. I used pool party instead of soft sky and strawberry slush instead of Rose Red. Sahara Sand I had and I think it is so close that if I didn't say anything it wouldn't have been noticed so forget what you just read OK! Well I hope you like my card and join in the fun follow the link http://www.createwithconnieandmary.com/create-with-connie-and-mary/2015/03/ccmc348-color-challenge.html Have fun with it.

I love your card, and it looks so similar to the challenge colors, that I can easily see that it would work with them, too! I love the contrast between the hardwood and the lacy doily, butterfly and trim. I also love your attention to the inside of the card! Thank you for joining us at Create with Connie and Mary!

You are totally right, the colors are so similar that I wouldn't have even noticed it you hadn't said anything! I love the hardwood background with the soft, pretty butterfly. Also, that crocheted ribbon is awesome! Did you dye it? We are thrilled that you joined us at Create with Connie and Mary!

Oh and the ribbon came that way from the embellishment kit with the doilies and pink roses and the buttons and rose stencils

I love your card Charlene - clearly inspired by mine this week yet so different! I love the butterfly as the focal point and the texture of the central band - and we would never have noticed the subtle colour difference had you not mentioned it! Thanks for joining us for our colour challenge over at Create With Connie and Mary this week!

Yes I was inspired by yours and Jenny's combined this week. I loved aspects from both your cards and that is what I came up with from them, so I'm glad you liked my take on it.

I love how you layered your butterfly with the bottom one being the color and the top one being vellum...such a pretty look! Thanks for playing along this week in the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!

Thanks Mary I just figured it was a way to tone down the brightness of the strawberry slush and make it look more rose red, since I didn't have that color.
